5-star LB Trenton Simpson decommits from Auburn

Trenton Simpson, who had been the highest-ranked member of the Auburn Tigers recruiting class, backed off his pledge. Simpson, a 5-star linebacker from Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek, announced his de-commitment Sunday. The 6-foot-3, 224-pound Simpson is the No. 2 outside backer and No. 13 overall recruit in the 247Sports rankings.
