Mack Brown asked a recent safety recruit for his favorite player. "Earl Thomas," the recruit said. "I coached him," Brown responded. It is that coaching pedigree and resume combined with on-the-field progress, increased fan support, and a great institution that has allowed UNC football to land top in-state recruits and put together a special 2020 class.
