Under Jay Bateman's system, UNC's linebacker corps is showing promise

Few expected UNC's linebackers to perform the way they have so far in 2019. Sophomore Jeremiah Gemmel was injured parts of last season and didn't play many snaps. But after surprising coaches with great performances in spring practice, he was named a starting inside linebacker. Junior Chazz Surratt, meanwhile, played quarterback in 2018.
