This year's team is somewhat devoid of quality nicknames. You might catch a player or two calling Wes Miller "Chico," but you'd have to ask Jackie Manuel about the origin of that one. Manuel, incidentally, was known as "Swayze" for much of his Carolina career, while classmate Melvin Scott was known almost exclusively as Pelle. In most cases players have an entirely different set of nicknames for each other than the ones used most often by fans. (Tar Heel Blue)
