As a star basketball player in Poplar Bluff, Mo., Tyler Hansbrough knew little about the rivalry between N.C. State and North Carolina. But just as he has on the court all season, UNC's freshman post player is learning quickly off it. "I noticed that last night when I was walking around," Hansbrough said Friday after practice. "Everybody was talking about, 'Just beat State on Saturday.' I could tell it was a big deal."
