Tournament MVP Alessia Russo scored the game-winning goal 1:48 into the second overtime period to lift No. 3 North Carolina to a 2-1 victory over No. 1 Virginia on Sunday in the ACC Tournament championship game (Highlights). The Tar Heels won the 22nd ACC Tournament championship in their history before a national TV audience on ESPNU.
