Xavier Foster read a prepared statement Monday in Oskaloosa High's gym to announce his commitment to Iowa State. The family hadn't previously notified either Iowa or Iowa State's coaching staff. So, when Foster said, "I will be committing to Iowa State University," that's when Steve Prohm learned he'd landed the 2020 recruit he's targeted for three years.
