Sam Howell breaks UNC, FBS records with 31st TD pass

Sam Howell may be a true freshman, but he’s already breaking records at North Carolina. The Tar Heels’ quarterback had a big day Saturday as they were routing Mercer in pursuit of their fifth win of the season. Howell completed 10 of 12 pass attempts for 152 yards and three scores. That trio of touchdown passes helped Howell achieve a little history. (Inside Carolina)
