The true genius of Roy Williams’s offensive philosophy is not his demanding blistering pace nor his secondary break, but rather his ability to recruit capable scorers to stress opposing defenses in his freelance halfcourt offense. When four or five Tar Heels are scoring at will, defenses are often exposed as they lose their ability to key in on one or two players.
