UNC's Sam Howell was named 2019 ACC Rookie and Offensive Rookie of the Year after having one of the best freshman quarterback seasons in ACC history. Howell threw for 3,347 yards and 35 touchdowns during the regular season. His 35 touchdowns were the most ever by a true freshman quarterback in the ACC.
