McCants is biding his time in Minnesota

Minnesota guard Rashad McCants has been getting roller-coaster results in mostly brief appearances so far. He played 25 minutes against Charlotte on Nov. 19 and scored 14 points at Denver a few days before that. But those are throwaway numbers to Chris Paul, who had eight assists in that game against Minnesota. McCants has eight assists, period, in 224 minutes as a pro.
