Jamie Ortega Named Women’s Lacrosse Preseason National Player of the Year

US Lacrosse magazine selected UNC junior Jamie Ortega as its Women’s Preseason National Player of the Year on Wednesday, as she prepares to lead the top-ranked Tar Heels into the 2020 campaign. Through her first two seasons in Chapel Hill, Ortega already ranks 12th in program history with 198 points and eighth all-time in goals with 151.
