North Carolina’s third straight victory arrived like others, with a nod to the veterans who stuck with the program through tough times — big defensive plays from Myles Dorn, Tomon Fox and Dominique Ross — and a preview of the future in 534 yards of total offense, led by Sam Howell completing 25 of 34 attempts for 294 yards with three touchdowns.
