'Dad would be really happy,' Dean Smith's son tells Roy Williams after win No. 879

The win gave North Carolina's Roy Williams 879 for his career, putting him in a tie for fourth place on the NCAA Division I all-time list with his former boss and mentor, Dean Smith. “Scott Smith came out and said one thing, and I think he’s right. He said, ‘Dad would be really happy,’” Williams said as he choked up for a few seconds. “And I think he would be.”
