After matching his mentor Dean Smith with his 879th win Monday, Roy Williams tried to go back to the locker room. His assistant coaches convinced him to stay, and, alongside Smith’s son, Williams was honored at mid-court with a picture of him and his idol. UNC again struggled offensively. Also spoiling the record win was a knee injury to Anthony Harris.
