UNC drops receiver from roster for violating team rules

Wide receiver Mike Mason became the latest casualty from North Carolina's 2003 football signing class, as the school announced Thursday that the junior from Rocky Mount has been dismissed for violating team rules. Mason remains enrolled at the university, and is scheduled to appear in Wake County district court next week to face charges of driving with a revoked license, possession of an altered or fictitious license and driving without a seatbelt.
