New York Yankees sign veteran catcher Chris Iannetta to minor-league contract

Seeking veteran catching depth, the New York Yankees have signed Chris Iannetta to a one-year minor league contract. A career .230 hitter with a .751 OPS over 14 seasons with the Rockies, Angels, Diamondbacks, and Mariners, Iannetta, 36, was designated for assignment by the Rockies last August, ending his second tour with the club that drafted him.
