Clemson failed to capitalize in arguably UNC’s worst season of basketball in 2001-02 as Jason Capel scored 28 points in the 96-78 victory. Oddly enough, the Tigers’ best chance may have come against what Williams suggested was his best team in Chapel Hill. On Feb. 10, 2008, Clemson led by 15 points before Tyler Hansbrough and Danny Green rallied UNC.
