Roy Williams could have blamed this loss on the fact that his starting point guard and his backup point guard were sidelined due to injury. He had reason to criticize his players for playing scared in the final minutes after playing so well in the first 38 minutes. Yet in the immediate moments after a historical Clemson victory, Williams stepped into the firing line.
