UNC vs. UCLA
Posted Dec 1, 2005
Allen Fieldhouse is filled with blue on this day -- lots of blue. UCLA blue. North Carolina blue. It's the championship matchup of our dream tournament and the top two seeds are here. UCLA, featuring perhaps the two greatest college players ever in Bill Walton and Lew Alcindor, beat Georgetown in one semifinal. North Carolina, with a lineup of seven All-Americans including Michael Jordan, edged LSU in a tight finish in the other semi, barely holding off the Tigers when the polling had officially closed.
