North Carolina pitcher Will Sandy struck out a career-high seven Golden Gophers in his third start of the 2020 season, but the Tar Heels fell 4-1 to Minnesota at U.S. Bank Stadium on Friday. UNC's Aaron Sabato collected his third multi-hit game of the season. The Tar Heels continue play in the CambriaCollegeClassic against Iowa on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
