His team was dragging, and the crowd was quiet. It was the perfect time for Roy Williams to get excited. With North Carolina leading UC Santa Barbara 45-41 and the first media timeout of the second half beginning, Williams got into the face of referee Mike Wood after a carrying call against point guard Bobby Frasor. UNC's coach carried that emotion into his huddle, and the Tar Heels responded with a 16-2 run that lifted them to an 83-66 victory. (Durham Herald-Sun)
