Triangle Timehop: Today in local college basketball history (March 18)
Posted Mar 18, 2020
March 18, 2012: UNC beats Creighton 87-73 in Greensboro to advance to the Sweet 16, but the win has a pall cast over it when Kendall Marshall breaks his wrist after being fouled on a layup attempt by Creighton's Ethan Wragge. It likely wouldn't have been as contentious of a play among the Tar Heel faithful had things not gotten heated earlier in the game.
