Tailback Barrington Edwards' once-promising season will end in disappointment if North Carolina can't defeat Virginia Tech on Saturday to gain bowl eligibility. Edwards didn't carry during the Tar Heels' 24-21 victory last week against Duke, and coach John Bunting said he might not get on the field at Virginia Tech. For the second straight game, sophomore Justin Warren will back up Ronnie McGill.
