Michael Jordan finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, and the first of many legacy-defining shots. At the same time, he secured the legacy of a coaching icon as Dean Smith won his first NCAA championship. Smith would secure another national title in 1993 before retiring in 1997. Jordan? Well. We don’t need to tell you what Jordan did from there.
