Matt Doherty starts over

Matt Doherty will never forget the night last spring when he watched the North Carolina players he had recruited cut down the nets after beating Illinois for the national title. "I wasn't the coach," he said. "But I felt like the GM." Doherty was two years removed from his departure as coach of the Tar Heels and completing his second year as a TV analyst. Now he's back on the bench, starting over at Florida Atlantic.
