What if Frank Beamer had gone to North Carolina? Beamer had built Virginia Tech's program from scratch and made the Hokies nationally relevant during his Hall of Fame career. But in late November 2000, he flew to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and agreed to a deal with UNC athletic director Dick Baddour to become the Tar Heels' next head football coach. (ESPN.com)
