Derrick Phelps wants Carolina alumni tradition instilled at Washington State

You'd never know from talking with Washington State associate men’s head basketball coach Derrick Phelps that he descends from royalty. He’s approachable, straight forward and perhaps more than anything if you're among the crimson faithful, very excited about the future of Cougar hoops. Phelps is a UNC legend who led the Tar Heels to the 1993 national title.
