Why the Chicago Bears Declined Mitch Trubisky's 5th Year Option

As many expected, the Chicago Bears decided not to pick up the fifth-year team option on the contract of quarterback Mitch Trubisky. This means Trubisky will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021. If the second overall pick from the 2017 NFL Draft wants a new deal, he'll have to earn it on the field. Here are five reasons the Bears made this decision.
