Faithful Tar Heel fans walk gingerly into this season aware there is much lump-taking in store by opponents eager to exploit a Carolina down-tick. On the bright side, though, it also will be a season in which Ol’ Roy really gets to take out the teaching stick he sharpened all those years beside Dean Smith. Talent development this season will be a very watchable sub-plot at UNC. (Virginian-Pilot)
