Heavy rain brings down large tree at UNC, damaging Alumni Hall

A large 150-year-old tree fell at UNC on Wednesday, its branches hitting the front of Alumni Hall. According to a spokesperson from UNC, the tree caused minor damage to the Alumni Hall portico, and a licensed contractor will remove the tree in a way that minimizes additional damage. The tree fell due to the heavy rain that fell Tuesday and Wednesday. (WRAL.com)
