The Tar Heels, fresh off an NCAA title, lost their top seven scorers to graduation or the NBA. They were replaced by capable, but green, upperclassmen like Wes Miller, Reyshawn Terry and David Noel. Add in a talented nucleus of freshmen—Marcus Ginyard, Tyler Hansbrough, Danny Green, Bobby Frasor — and it’s no wonder the team was picked sixth in the ACC.
