This Day In UNC Baseball History: May 26

On May 26, 2013 UNC had played 32 innings over the previous 2 days, had finished their game against State at 2 AM, and 11 hours later had to play in the championship game against Virginia Tech. The pitching was depleted so UNC gave the ball to Taylore Cherry, who had thrown less than 5 innings all year. And what happened? He rose to the occasion. (GoHeels.com)
