Arguably the most notable moment in Clemson’s regular season in 2019 was it narrowly escaping with a 21-20 at North Carolina. The Tar Heels were a surprise in the ACC, going 7-6 in year one of Mack Brown’s second go-around with true freshman Sam Howell at quarterback, ending their season with a blowout win over Temple in the Military Bowl.
