Ames school district discusses naming Ames High gymnasium after Harrison Barnes


The new Ames High gymnasium could be named after , an NBA player and former Ames High athlete who helped bankroll its construction. Superintendent Jenny Risner presented the proposal to the school board during a virtual meeting on Monday, citing Barnes’ contributions to both the school district and community of Ames, Iowa.
