Another ugly win keeps Tar Heels' bowl hope alive

Two home games. Two defensive struggles. And for North Carolina, two crucial wins against ranked opponents. Just as the Tar Heels' 7-5 triumph against Virginia on Oct. 22 kept hope alive for bowl eligibility, Saturday's 16-14 win against No. 19 Boston College did the same. "It may not be a pretty score or whatever, but that's as near a complete game as we've played," said Coach . "And it came in a very timely fashion." (Daily Tar Heel)
