Today in 'This Day in Recent Carolina Baseball History' we go back to 2006, 2009, and 2018 for a wild 13-inning win in the Omaha debut of the Mike Fox era, a record breaking game for Dustin Ackley, and an upset victory over long-time UNC nemesis Oregon State. On June 16th, 2006 the Tar Heels faced off against perennial Omaha team Cal State-Fullerton.
