did play plenty of basketball in Chicago in 1993 and '94—just not for the Bulls. During his time with the Bulls, Jordan was a fixture at the Athletic Club at Illinois Center. There, during his first retirement, Jordan worked out with his trainer, Tim Grover, in preparation for baseball, but he was also a frequent participant in games of pickup basketball.
