Roy Williams's first team at North Carolina was talented. They were good, but not great. Jawad Williams, Jackie Manuel, and Melvin Scott were juniors in 2003-04 while Sean May, Rashad McCants, Raymond Felton, and David Noel were sophomores. It all came together for Carolina in 2004-05. The Tar Heels added five-star freshman Marvin Williams.
