Makhtar N'Diaye Named GM of Senegal's National Team

Former North Carolina big man Makhtar N'Diaye has been named General Manager of Senegal's men's basketball national team, according to ESPN's Marc J. Spears. Senegal has historically performed well in their own continent — winning five gold medals in the FIBA Africa Championships from 1968-97. N'Diaye starred on Senegal's last gold medal team in 1997.
