After loss to Hurricanes, Tar Heels face an uphill battle to become bowl eligible
Posted Oct 31, 2005
If North Carolina is to play in a second consecutive bowl game, another strong finish in the season's final month will be in order. UNC needs to win three of its last four games to secure bowl eligibility after being beaten 34-16 at Miami over the weekend and dropping to a 3-4 record. Last season's team won three of its last four games to gain eligibility and an invitation to Charlotte's Continental Tire Bowl, a bit of history that Coach John Bunting would not mind repeating.
