UNC Freshman Ja'Qurious Conley to be First Tar Heel Football Player to Wear No. 0

UNC Football revealed jersey numbers for incoming freshmen defenders Monday, with the most notable selection coming from safety Ja'Qurious Conley, who will become the first player in program history to wear number zero. This is the result of a recent NCAA rule change earlier this year, which made the number zero legal for players to wear in football.
