Barth tries to clear his mind, goal posts
Posted Oct 28, 2005
UNC kicker Connor Barth finds himself mired in a slump as the Tar Heels head south for a rematch with Miami on Saturday. The preseason All-ACC candidate from Wilmington is 3-of-11 on field-goal tries after missing both attempts Saturday against Virginia. He's been wide or short on 7 of 8 kicks from 40 yards and beyond. Perhaps playing the Hurricanes can rekindle some of the lost magic for a scholarship kicker who has seen his mechanics and confidence falter.
