UNC Special Teams Competition Heating Up in Training Camp

Throughout 2019, Mack Brown made it clear UNC's special teams were not up to his standard. So, the Tar Heels acquired graduate transfer Grayson Atkins from Furman to compete for the starting kicker position with Noah Ruggles. At punter, Jonathan Kim and Ben Kiernan are competing for the starting spot. Kiernan was the starting punter last season.
