Mauricio Pineda is off to a promising start to his MLS career

Mauricio Pineda joined the Chicago Fire without much in the way of expectations. Since then, Pineda has scored his first MLS goal, enjoyed a top performance against the defending champion Seattle Sounders, earned a contract extended through 2021, and started all five matches, making him the only MLS rookie to start every match for his team.
