UNC's Cassie Sumfest made U.S. Field Hockey team to cap recovery

Perhaps the most difficult aspect of Cassie Sumfest’s recovery from knee surgery was convincing her parents she was A-OK. See, there was this event in California — a tryout for Sumfest to maintain her standing in the USA Field Hockey system — and she really wanted to go, even though she was only about nine months removed from tearing her ACL.
