Pittsburgh Steelers release wide receiver Ryan Switzer

On Saturday afternoon, Ryan Switzer was among the notable players released by the Steelers as the team cut their roster down to 53. Switzer, a former fourth round pick out of the University of North Carolina and a relative of college football and NFL champion head coach Barry Switzer, had spent two seasons with the Steelers after being traded from the Oakland Raiders.
