Sam Howell burst onto the scene for the Tar Heels last year and set some impressive records for a freshman at UNC. His 38 touchdown passes were the most in school history and the most by a true freshman in FBS history. Howell ranked 2nd in the ACC in pass efficiency and passing yards in his first season in Chapel Hill.
