Since UNC broke away from the SoCon to form the ACC, the Tar Heels have won 5 ACC football titles. They’ve won 6 total ACC titles, with the most recent coming in 1980 under Dick Crum. Most came in the 70s during the Bill Dooley era, during which UNC won 3. To find the first, you have to go back to just a decade after the founding of the league.
