How UNC Punter Ben Kiernan Found His Calling

Although UNC always seemed like a potential fit to Ben Kiernan, it wasn’t until former punter Tom Sheldon abruptly left the Tar Heels in the spring of 2018 that they started recruiting him. Quickly, Ben developed a rapport with then-head coach Larry Fedora; his son Dillon, a special teams quality control assistant; and special teams coordinator Luke Paschall.
